Wrestlers start out the season at home

The TCHS wrestling team participated in their first meet of the season at home against Russell on December 1. While the ending score was 39-39, Trego took the victory by criteria.

The team had three wins.  John Kuhn, wrestling at 120, won by a 6-4 decision over Chandler Schoenberger. Tanner Lowry, wrestling at 182, pinned his opponent Cody Dollison. Also pinning his opponent was Parker Opat, who wrestled Jonathon Eichelberger at 220.

Austin Clanton, Hunter Folsom, Dillon Dunn, and Brady Mattke earned team points, winning by forfeit. The meet was also attended by Trevor DePriest.

Opat summed up the night: “It was a great way to kick off the season.”
