Eagles fly above the line at Norton

On Tuesday, September 4, the Lady Eagles traveled to Norton for two games.

The Eagles' first match was against previous state qualifiers, Smith Center. Fighting for a victory, Trego won a close first set, 25-22. With the Redmen coming out to play, the girls fell short, 15-25, in set two. Sadly, Trego lost the third set, 16-25.

For their second match, the Eagles played Plainville. With winning in mind, the Lady Eagles gave the Plainsmen everything they had and won the first set, 25-19. Not wanting to take the game to three, Trego came out with claws, winning 25-17.

Their last game of the night was against the talented Norton Bluejays. The Eagles won a nail- biter in the first set, 25-22. Knowing they could go home with a 2-1 record, the girls beat Norton 25-15 in the second set.

Junior Libby Frost commented on the exciting night saying, “We played pretty good, and we got better as the night went on.”

The Lady Eagles' next game will be at Oakley on Tuesday, September 11.
