Volleyball plays well at Plainville

The Eagle volleyball team traveled to Plainville on September 20 to play the Ellis Railers and the Plainville Cardinals.

The Lady Eagles started off with a strong match against Ellis, winning 25-12. They kept up the great lead, winning the second match 25-11 and taking the win.

Junior player, Janae Huxman commented on the victory.

"It felt really good to beat Ellis. . . we were confident and played well."

The team struggled against Plainville, losing their first match 20-25. Though the second match was close, the Lady Eagles couldn’t quite pull out a win, falling 23-25.

Despite the near loss, Huxman and her teammates continue to see improvement, especially in the back row where the players are having more consistent passing. "We have cleaned up our game a lot," remarked Huxman.

They will next play at Ellis on September 27.
