Lady Eagles fight hard on home court

On Tuesday, September 18, the TCHS volleyball team played well at their home meet against Plainville and Ellis and ended the night with a 1-1 record.

The Lady Eagles first faced the Plainville Cardinals. In a hard fought game, Trego took the win with a score of 26-24. The second set was also close; however, the Eagles couldn’t quite come out on top, and the game ended with a close score of 22-25. The third set was also a tough one for the Eagles with a score of 18-25, which left the Cardinals as the overall winners of the match.

Going into the second match determined, Trego had no problem defeating the Ellis Railers. At the end of the first set, the scoreboard showed a victory for the Eagles with a score of 25-17. Trego sailed through the second set to a score of 25-13, easily winning the match.

Sophomore Lili Shubert weighed in on the team’s effort.

“We started out not playing our best against Plainville, but we came back out better against Ellis.”

The Lady Eagles will next play in Phillipsburg on September 25.
