The Trego volleyball team had one of their best nights of play since the season opener, and a strong crowd to shout out their support.

Trego started the night facing Oakley. In their first set against Oakley, they lost 11-25 but came back and won their second set 25-19. During the tie breaker set, Trego dominated Oakley with a win of 25-19.

The momentum from Oakley’s match carried over to the first set with Norton, and the Eagles took the win, 25-22. They fought hard against Norton in their second set but came up short with a score of 18-25. In the third set, the Eagles gained confidence, but lost to Norton with a score of 20-25.

Cheyenne Nickelson commented on their performance.

“We performed very good and showed out potential as a volleyball team. The loss to Norton was disappointing, but having our home crowd behind us made the game so much more fun and intense. I’m very pound of how we played our game to the very end.”

Coach Bailey Belisle agreed with Nickelson, adding, “It was the best we have played this season, and even though we didn't get both wins, we had an awesome night of volleyball. The crowd was amazing; we appreciate everyone's support.”

The Trego Eagles volleyball team’s next match will be at Plainville on September 20.
