On Tuesday, August 28, the Trego volleyball team had a double header at home.

Trego had to first face Stockton. In the first match, the Eagles won 25-15. The second match was won by a smaller margin, but the Eagles pulled out a 25-20 victory.

The second match was against TMP. A much more daunting opponent, as TMP is the reigning 3A State Champions. Trego fought hard in the first match sending it into extra points. At the end, Trego fell behind TMP with a loss. The score read 26-24.

During the second set, Trego went out with a hard-hitting attitude. This match went past regulation as well. The Eagles left defeated, 25-27.

Junior Libby Frost weighed in on the team’s strengths. “We are all close friends, which helps with trust on the court. We continue to work hard every day!” She articulated that the team played well against both Stockton and TMP. She also stated, “If we stay calm and play our game, we will be unstoppable. We will dominate!”
