Trego volleyball brings home silver medal

The Lady Eagles volleyball team traveled to Hill City for the Ringneck Classic on October 6. The Lady Eagles faced Ransom, Cheylin, Atwood, Ness City, Rexford- Golden Plains, and Hill City.

The Lady Eagles started the day strong and showed no mercy as they defeated Ransom in two sets, 25-12 and 25-12. Trego then fell short as they faced Cheylin, 24-26 and 18-25.

Trego didn’t let the loss affect them when playing Atwood and again trounced the competition in two sets, 25-14, 25-17. The Lady Eagles kept things going when they faced Ness City and walked off the court victorious in two sets, 25-17 and 25-22.

They took their second loss to Rexford-Golden Plains, 18-25, 20-25.  However, Trego ended the day with a win against Hill City, 25-14, 25-17.  

With a 4-2 record, the Lady Eagles brought home a second place medal.

Freshman Madison Walt weighed in on the day’s success.

“I thought we did pretty well, but there are many things we need to work on for MCL.”
