Trego has strong start to golf season

Trego went to Hoisington for their first meet of the season.  The team scored 375, putting them in first place as a team.

Two team members also placed as individuals.  Having the strongest day for the team, Dalton Mai placed first with 40 strokes on the front nine and 40 on the back.  Mai was originally tied for first but won in a play-off. Teammate Carter Minson also had a good day and brought home a fourth place medal with 89 strokes.

Coach Sean Dreiling had praise for the rest of the team, stating that Paige Post played well with 108 strokes.  Attending their first golf tournament, Joey Fry ended with 98 strokes and Austin Cramer had 125.

The team is enthusiastic about the remainder of the season and determined to shave strokes off their final scores.
