The Trego Eagles traveled to Phillipsburg on February 2 where they defeated the Panthers.
The Eagles played an intense first quarter; however, they were down by four, making the score 8-12. In the second quarter, Trego kept the scores close, scoring nine to Phillipsburg’s ten. At the end of the half, the score was 17-22.
The Lady Eagles came back in the third quarter determined to win and outscored the Panthers by six points. Not giving up in the last quarter, the Eagles gained ten points while the Panthers only gained five. The final score of the intense game was 43-37.
The top shooter of the game was senior Emily Buchholz with 16 points. Freshmen Libby Frost led the team in rebounds with nine.
