Lady Eagles win last home game of regular season

The Lady Eagles had their last home game against the Smith Center Redmen February 16. They finished the game with a winning score, 53-40.

The Eagles started the game behind, in the first quarter, 9-13, but came back strong in the second quarter, ending the half 25-17.

The second half started with the Eagles gaining an even bigger lead, ending the third quarter 44-29. The Eagles kept strong and ended the game 53-40, winning their last home game.

Trego’s top scorers were Janae Huxman and Lili Shubert, both scoring 12 points.

Senior Janae Huxman once again had a top scoring night and commented on winning her last home game of the regular season. 

“It was exciting,” she said, “but not really sad because we have had such a good season, and we have the chance to play here again during sub-state.”
