Lady Eagles emerge victorious against Red Devils

The Lady Eagles have been having a tough season, often struggling to maintain momentum against their opponents and admitting a loss of energy.  However, that all changed in their game against the Decatur Red Devils on January 6.

During the first quarter the Eagles appeared to need some time to warm-up, scoring only four points to the Devils’ 12. After the first quarter, the Eagles’ strength grew, and they matched the Devils’ 12 points during the second quarter. At the half, the Eagles were behind by eight.

However, the Devils could not withstand the force that emerged from the Eagle locker room and could only manage six points to the Eagles’ 15.  The Lady Eagles continued to dominate the Lady Devils during the fourth quarter, scoring 24 points.  At the final buzzer, the score was 55-46.

Adell Riedel was top scorer of the game putting up 18 points. Janae Huxman put up 13 points and led the team in rebounds.
