Lady Eagles fall to Lady Ringnecks

The Lady Eagles played at home against Hill City Ringnecks on January 27.

The Lady Eagles put up the first basket and kept the score tight for the first few minutes of the first quarter.  However, the Lady Eagles fell behind 11-24 by the end of the first quarter. Trego scored seven points during the second quarter but Hill City scored 10, making the half time score 17-34.

The Lady Ringnecks returned from halftime and gained a better hold over Lady Eagles, scoring 17 points to Trego’s nine. The third quarter ended with a score of 26-51.  The Lady Eagles fought back but lost to Hill City during the final quarter ending with a score of 39-62.

Libby Frost made 16 points for the team, making her the top scorer. Adell Riedel was the second top scorer by gaining the team 14 points.
