Lady Eagles face a loss

The Lady Eagles played against Wheatland/Grinnell at home on December 20.

The Eagles were behind 9-13 at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles didn’t give up and outscored Wheatland 11-5 in the second quarter, making the score 20-18 at the end of the half.

Wheatland came out strong in the third quarter, putting up 21 points while holding Trego to seven. The Lady Eagles pushed through during the fourth quarter scoring 20 points to Wheatland’s 21. The final score of the game was 47-60.

Freshmen Adell Riedel was top shooter scoring 16 points. Senior Emily Buchholz was second scoring 15 points.

The Lady Eagles will travel to Oberlin on January 6 to make-up the game missed on December 16.
