Eagle football brings home a win to start the season

The TCHS football team brought home a win against the Stockton Tigers on September 1.

Soaring into the first quarter of the season, Trego fought hard and scored themselves a 20 point lead against the Tigers, who had zero points. After a quick first quarter, Trego managed to score eight points, but Stockton picked up the pace and added 14 points in their favor. The score at half-time was 28-14.

Taking the field after a quick break, the Eagles squeezed out six points as did Stockton. Stockton, however, gave Trego a run for their money in the fourth quarter and tied the game by scoring 14 points. The scoreboard read 34-34, and the teams went into overtime.

In overtime, both teams fought their hardest to come out victorious, but Trego edged out the Tigers and scored six points to end the game. The final score was 40-34.

Senior Tate Pfannenstiel scored the most touchdowns with 18 total points scored for the team.
