Friday’s game against Decatur community was a battle against weather as much as a battle against the Red Devils. Facing wet and slick conditions, the Eagles fell to the Devils, 16-34.

Trego was unable to score in the first quarter; however, the Devils ran in a touchdown but did not make the two points making the score 0-6 at the end of first quarter.

In the second quarter, Keagan Shubert scored a touchdown run and the two points for the Eagles. The score at half-time was 8-6.

Coming back from half-time, the Devils had a 13 yard run for a touchdown. Hunter Folsom caught an 18-yard pass for an Eagle touchdown. Hunter Price ran in the extra two points, making the score 16-14.

During the fourth quarter, the Eagles seemed to be struggling to stay ahead when the Devils made a 62 yard pass for a touchdown. Then the Devils had a 1 yard run for another touchdown. The Devils, making their last touchdown with a 70 yard run, made the final score 16-34.

The players of the game were Keagan Shubert (all-around player of the game) and Justin Turley (defensive player of the game). Shubert completed his sixth game in a row with over 100 passing yards. Turley finished the night with 10 solo tackles and seven assisted tackles.
