The Ringnecks handed the Golden Eagles their second loss of the season on September 30.

The Ringnecks started the game strong by scoring the first six points in the first quarter. Trego, however, answered with six points of their own by the end of the period.

Trego fought through the second quarter, but Hill City made it into the end zone, making the halftime score 6-12.

The Golden Eagles came back from halftime and added another touchdown.  However, the Ringnecks also had a strong return to the field and outscored the Eagles with two touchdowns.

The Ringnecks showed no mercy to the Eagles in the fourth and final quarter of the night by scoring 13 more points, making the final score 12-37.

Coach Pat Haxton awarded Tanner Lowry the title of Overall Player of the Game for playing "well on both sides of the ball."

Offensive Player of the Game went to Hunter Folsom.   Haxton commented, "This was his first start at the QB position and he did a very good job.”

TJ Hafliger was named Defensive Player of the Game for 16 tackles and an interception.

The Golden Eagles will next play in Oberlin on October 7.
