The TCHS boys’ basketball team faced the Ellis Railers in their last game of the season on February 27.

Trego didn’t seem to be warmed up enough as the Railers gained a big lead on the Eagles with a score of 5-18 at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles picked up the pace and were just edged out by the Railers who had a three point lead at halftime, 25-28.

Trego struggled to keep up with Ellis as the Eagles only scored four points to the Railers’ 15. The score was 24-43 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles, however, made a run for the top in the fourth quarter and scored more points than Ellis but couldn’t overtake the Railers. At the end of the night, the scoreboard read 42-58.

Top scorer was Emmit Owens with 18 points. Tate Pfannenstiel and Hunter Olson followed in Owens’s footsteps with 11 and 10 points.
