Trego didn’t seem to be warmed up enough as the Railers gained a big lead on the Eagles with a score of 5-18 at the end of the first quarter. The Eagles picked up the pace and were just edged out by the Railers who had a three point lead at halftime, 25-28.
Trego struggled to keep up with Ellis as the Eagles only scored four points to the Railers’ 15. The score was 24-43 at the end of the third quarter. The Eagles, however, made a run for the top in the fourth quarter and scored more points than Ellis but couldn’t overtake the Railers. At the end of the night, the scoreboard read 42-58.
Top scorer was Emmit Owens with 18 points. Tate Pfannenstiel and Hunter Olson followed in Owens’s footsteps with 11 and 10 points.
