Tough games at Smith Center

By Emma Kostic
On Friday, February 15, Eagles travelled to Smith Center to face off the Redmen.

Lady Eagles got onto the court full of effort and attitude and started the night on a high note. They scored 18-12 in the first quarter and continued to run down the court and rebound the ball in order to have an even better score. In the second quarter, their desire to win was evident as they scored 15-4. They continued scoring in he third quarter as well with 15-10. Even though their fatigue was starting to show in the fourth quarter, with a score of 9-17, the Eagles never once gave up and were set on taking the win back home. The game ended with a total score of 57-43 for the Lady Eagles.

Unfortunately, the boys did not have as successful of a night as the girls. However, they did show aggressiveness and skills on the court. The outcome of the game might have not been what they had wanted, but they never thought they were out of the game and kept fighting until the last buzzer went off.

The final score was 41-59.
