The Eagles travelled to Dighton for their first game of the season on Friday, November 30.

In the first quarter, TCHS faced tough competition, falling behind 11-12. By the end of the first half, it wasn’t looking good for the Eagles, trailing the Hornets 17-25. Yet, the boys came back to fight, and fight they did. By the end of the third quarter, the score showed an Eagle lead, 30-29. The Eagles pulled out in the end to win with a score of 44-39.

The high scorer for TCHS was Carter Minson with 16 points. Keagan Shubert also had a strong game with nine points and five rebounds.

Kobi Shubert was the player of the game with 13 points and five assists, shooting 43 percent from the three point line.

Coach Dreiling commented his reason to award Kobi player of the game.

“His steady hand and good decision making paced us late in the game.”

The Eagles will be competing in the Purple and Gold Tournament the week of December 3.
