Trego FCCLA traveled to Hoxie on October 8 for the annual District A Fall Leadership Academy.

Contributing to the event, the local chapter presented colors, and choir members sang.

Students experienced different breakout sessions throughout the day.  They included presentations about Valley Hope, bullying, and leadership.

The keynote speaker was Michael W. Smith, last year’s FCCLA national president.  He informed students about “positioning yourself for success.”   “Let the extraordinary become the ordinary,” was his theme.

The organization received the “Active Chapter” award. Also, members who completed the “Step One” Power- of-One module included the following:  Blair Welch, Tori Mai, Joey Richmeier, Pam Brown, Elizabeth Leiker, Casey Sedbrook, Skyler McGann, Barbie Flax, Amy Bazan, Stephanie Griffith, Will Papes, Jackie Albin and Eli Sherwood.
